Beyond

"Onto the next one"

My time at Hester was assumed the end of a short career. But I would learn that was a scratch in the surface. My time at Leyden has taught me so much as I progress into baseball and prepare for senior year. Although repeating the same sports, StatsByJoe constantly evolves as I will take on the role of assistant linebacker coach, assistant offensive coordinator of the JV squad, and assistant coach of basketball. But still, StatsByJoe doesn't end on the final out of baseball next year.

As mentioned in the Leyden page, I have received an offer to manage at ISU and NIU. Very honored to receives that offer, but not content as I attempt to make my push towards my dream school: D1 super-giant and academic haven, The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Since a young age, the blue and maize have filled my collegiate hopes and only time will tell if a similar offer to that of the Redbirds is in line from the Wolverines.

Whether Wolverine, Redbird, Husky, or any other mascot fills my secondary pride, the end goal is the same: ESPN. The holy mecca of sports lovers, statisticians, and analysts seems like the most suiting fit as I pursue my major in journalism. Whether insider like Adam Schefter or anchor like Neil Everett is in my future, the black and red is the light at the end.
